WiseGuys Moving began in 2017 in Centennial, Colorado. Its founder, Cory Wise, started it at the age of 26. Cory worked with a simple moving service throughout his 4 years of college at UT-Knoxville. This service was one of the first to coin the term "Uber for Movers" and was a wonderful opportunity to use moving as a side hustle to earn an honest, relatively good income at one's own discretion. This allowed Cory to juggle a full-time student schedule and other part-time jobs while claiming moves to bring in that extra, high hourly income. But there were issues...

The moving industry is highly underrated. It is constantly underestimated and undervalued. Many customers and companies fail to recognize just how many variables can affect the day and the time and energy it takes to complete a move.

From the sheer size and weight of some of their items and the complexity of the route to and from a truck to weather conditions and the desired move strategy of the customer (do they want their movers to stage their house and assemble their furniture too? And would they prefer a quicker, cheaper strategy over a safer, more expensive one)?

Unfortunately, the moving company Cory was working for did not spend enough time worrying about these variables, and they treated their crews as disposable and replaceable. Cory tried to help resolve these issues but got tired of being ignored. He became exhausted from putting up with all of it and thus decided to try it on his own.
